A concentric platform in the island's center is 90 feet high, with 90 steps. A circular, white flat-topped building is also 90 feet tall stands on it. Both the platform and the building are made of white granite. Three doors opened in the direction of three Vision Ladders, made of transparent crystal, about 30 feet high, two open opposite, a total of six gates. The Island Hall is the only place where Fellows can have quiet thoughts and exchange ideas. The hall doors are never closed except in case of emergency so that Fellows can drop in at different active times. The hall interior also follows the concentric circle layout; the center is a piece of white granite die-cut round table, clean and smooth, surrounded by running water. Outside the running water is a red rock polished sitting table, a total of 7 layers; each layer can sit 100 Fellows, inside to outside, rising layer by layer.
Fellows who had entered the hall sat on the platform without talking or singing, quietly enjoying the faint sound of the running water. Fellows' inherent idea is that Light of different colors meets on the center circle, which is reflected in the air fusion, blurred gorgeous. It is a silent ideological consensus. This kind of consensus constantly changes because of individual thought's strengths and weaknesses, always enlightening us. This process is called "Handshake lantern," and the flashing lights we call "Great Dance." Great Dance spills out through the open door, lighting up the steps and the companions who walk up and down them. At all times, the hall was always colorful, sparkling, and gorgeous.
I come to the hall before the end of the Active Time, but the seats are already total, so I have to wait. So I walk around the table and look at fellows, trying to find one who used to "Handshake" with me. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be here.
I've been trying to find answers to "boundary" in the hall, and even a little bit of relevant anecdote is equally exciting, but there's never been much of a breakthrough. There are many reasons, such as different periods of activities, various Individual Behavior Reports, knowledge memory, and different place rules. Just like now, you can not say hello even if you meet friends in the hall, so it is tough to continue to discuss a thing, let alone get results. So I come to the hall whenever I could, hoping to be enlightened, or if not, at least to learn something else. Of course, no matter what, the air here is always pleasant and relaxed.
One patted me on the shoulder, and I turned around. A Fellow who had never seen it before handed me a paper folded in half only once in his right hand. I take it over, look down and open it; a word, "Infinite" what does this mean? Does he know anything more about "boundary"? So exciting! We should sit down together and have an in-depth Handshake, or we should go out and have a good chat before the end of the session. Yeah! Now is the time! I quickly look up, but the Fellow has vanished.
I clutch the paper in my hand back to the cabin, pleasantly surprised but slightly annoyed that such a precious opportunity had gone so quickly. But the priority was to write it down in as much detail as possible in my behavior report before the end of my Active Time, so I ran as fast as possible.
"Seven seconds!" I said, bracing myself.
